Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was born at Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was aware that she had a talent to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished 2nd in the 200 meters in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school year in 2003 and became a part of Adidas a contract as a professional athlete. Following that, she was a student at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. She broke an Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion in running 200m. She won the title in 2007. defended the title in front of her Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top three in all event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
