Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix an Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix had an early aptitude for sports when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting ability at the time. A mere 10 weeks after the initial trial she took her skills, she placed 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and signed an official contract for Adidas. In 2004 she began her studies at an institution called the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic prize at the 2004 Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s which set an all-time junior world record. In 2005, she became the youngest 200-meter world champion at the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007 beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo always finishing in the top three places in all her competitions.
