Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin in Ireland on November 11, 1996. Model and an Irish actress. Alison Doody first made a movie debut as a Bond actress with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan donavan was part of A Prayer for the Dying in 1987. Charlotte appeared in Taffin (in 1998) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody was approached by a photographer and started to perform the role of a model. Doody then began to build a career of commercial modelling. Doody did not like glamour or nude work, a rule that was carried into her acting. If she came to the director's attention in an upcoming James Bond film, Doody accepted a minor role in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody was in John Willis Screen World Volume 2. She was one of twelve promising young actors for the year 1986. 38. Doody, at 18-years-old when she played Doody's role in Bond, was and is still the youngest Bond actress until today. Another film from her early days was a small part in the role of IRA member Siobhan Donovan on A Prayer for the Dying (1987) that starred Mickey Rourke. Doody was a voice actor in the 1987 TV version of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in a dream. The storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her debut leading role. It aired in 1988 alongside Dawn French, John Hurt along with Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. In the following film, she played her biggest role yet in the film Taffin as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazisympathiser The doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody played alongside Sean Connery in the film, as Indy's dad. In 1991 Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the published fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. After moving to Hollywood Doody was a star. The decision was made to replace Cybill Shepard as L'Oreal spokesperson and then was later cast alongside Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his agent and girlfriend on the film Major League II. After nearly a decade from the screen Doody was back in the acting world by playing a minor role in the 2003's British comedy movie The Actors with Michael Caine acting as herself in an event scene for the award ceremony. She also appeared in 2004 in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She was also as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 publication about the Holocaust. Doody made an appearance as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. The following year, she had been scheduled to play the lead role on The Asphyx remake, but this project did not go ahead. Her first two seasons on The E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014 she starred in We Still Kill the Old Way. The 21st of November, 2018, she was awarded by the Almeria tierra de cine award and she received a star in Almeria Walk of Fame.
